On June 28, 2025, a wonderful man of God named Nicholas (“Nick”) Fendick Gallo went to be the Lord Jesus. His legacy is one of friendship and faithfulness. This poem is dedicated to him and his son — my dear friend — Keith.
Dad, when you meet Jesus,
Will He know you’re the best father ever?
Did He laugh when I used to wear your shoes?
Will He know how loved you are?
Did He see all the hard work you did for us?
Will He ask how things turned out with me during those hard years when you kept praying for me?
Did He see how much fun we had together?
Does He know how much I love Him because of how you loved Him?
Does He know how you liked to be hugged at the door after a hard day of work?
Can He make sure you’re waiting there to hug me this time?
Dad, can you tell Him for me when you see Him?
